Challenge
Bay Center Farms, being a family owned business, has recently passed ownership to past owners’ kids. Since taking on the business, the new owners have felt that their website was severely outdated and lacked much of the current information about the business.
Being that the site was made 10 years ago, the design was bare bones and didn’t have much info about the current or past owners, ordering process or oyster selection. The challenge was to update the website to reflect the new ownership and add more relevant information while still keeping the brand feeling intact.
Website Solution
To address this, we updated their whole site with new content, links, pages and SEO work. The site now feels professional, more inline with a big business than a small one. You are now able to place orders online to be shipped directly to you. The site now features new photos, products and prices. We listed directions to their business location for customers looking to shop in person.
The about section was updated to include more about the history of the business including updating the contact information to the current owners. We did some SEO work to help Bay Center Farms easily be found by a web search. The new owners wanted a stronger presence in their social media so we added links to various platforms they currently use.
A main element Bay Center Farms wanted to highlight was their way of sustainable processes. We included a whole new section, breaking down and explaining their method and the benefits it’s giving to the environment. There is now a way to apply for jobs with an online job application through the website which gives less work for their office administration. To maintain their SEO presents, we scheduled new content to be posted regularly through the blog and sharing oyster recipes.
